NPT Homes Supports Homeless Shoe Box Appeal

NPT Homes employees have been busy over the last two weeks donating gifts to support the homeless in Neath Port Talbot, Swansea and the surrounding areas.

The Homeless Shoe Box Appeal Swansea and Surrounding Area asks for people to put together a shoe box of gifts that volunteers hand out at shelters and soup kitchens across the local area.

Employees from the social housing provider got behind this year’s appeal and donated a wide range of presents including warm clothing, food and toiletries.

Volunteer Heidi Rees happily collected all donations in readiness to hand out each shoe box of gifts to those sleeping rough in the run up to Christmas.

Volunteer Heidi Rees added:
“This all started from an appeal message on Facebook and myself, Leah Flint and Louise Evans-Leigh got together to launch the Homeless Shoe Box Appeal Swansea and Surrounding Areas.

We have been overwhelmed with the donations and generosity of people like NPT Homes who got in touch and donated.

We are now asking if anybody is aware of any centres that support those living on the streets to get in touch on 07968216693 as we have more shoe box gifts to share.”
