Steve Tucker

Interim Director of Assets

Steve started his career in the financial sector, working for both banks and building societies before entering the housing association sector where he undertook a wide variety of duties ranging from housing management to development. Over the 15 years spent with associations, he refined his role to development and was the development manager for Charter Housing (now Seren Housing Group). With the advent of broadening opportunities for associations, Steve was involved in the first two Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects in Wales with the provision and management of medical staff accommodation at the Royal Glamorgan and Llandough hospitals.

The provision of affordable housing remained the common theme when he moved to the private sector with Lovell and was involved in a number of regeneration projects undertaken in conjunction with associations and councils. During his time there, Steve was responsible for setting up Lovell’s Delivery Team and structure for the V2C Main Improvement Programme to achieve WHQS.

Steve has also spent time with George Wimpey as Senior Land Manager and with Leadbitter, where he was responsible for co-ordinating regeneration projects including a number of extra care homes.

Andrew Carey

Deputy Director of Assets

Andrew completed his degree in construction management and established his career in the private sector working for a national house builder. He began working on site managing the construction of new homes and then began working in the development department. Andrew always enjoys a challenge and has worked on many complex projects.

Since then, Andrew entered the public sector and took a lead role in managing one of Wales' first cross sector funded schemes. He developed and delivered a multi-million pound regeneration project in Cardiff. The project included a state of the art health centre, residential apartment blocks and a shopping parade with a community space. Andrew also worked extensively on creating a delivery strategy for a housing association in Cardiff to deliver the WHQS programme.
