Finance and Corporate Services Directorate
The Finance and Corporate Services Directorate consists of the Finance and Corporate Services service areas.
John has over 20 years’ experience in finance, starting as an auditor with KPMG after graduating with a degree in politics and accounting from Manchester University. Having qualified as a chartered accountant, he then spent time as an internal auditor for British Aerospace and Anglian Water.
Following this he held senior positions in financial reporting and control with BAE Systems and Reliance Security Group before moving to Wales in 2011 to take up the role of Finance Director for the Welsh operations of Walter Energy Inc. based in the Neath valley.
Prior to joining Tai Tarian, John then spent time working as a consultant for the PHS Group in Caerphilly.
Angela started her career in the financial services sector working for national and international organisations.
Her career in the third sector began in 2010 when she became a project manager for Gwalia, managing a joint working initiative with two local authorities which provided work opportunities to young people at risk of homelessness.
Angela then became the Business Manager for the care and support division before becoming the Head of Assurance for Pobl Group, where she oversaw performance, risk management, audit and policy. Angela was also a project manager facilitating and delivering improvement initiatives before moving to Tai Tarian.
Kath has over 20 years’ experience of working in finance, she began her career in the NHS as assistant management accountant where she studied for her accountancy qualification. She then moved into the education sector where she held a senior position at Bridgend College before moving into local government to broaden her experience.
Kath joined Tai Tarian in March 2011 as Fixed Asset and Capital Investment Manager before taking up the role of Head of Finance.
Kath is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
