Applying for housing

We are currently experiencing significant demand for housing.

If you wish to apply for housing please complete the expression of interest. We will contact you to progress with your application, which will be through a new self-service online portal. Please note there is a waiting period of up to 14 weeks. However updated information will be available on our website.

Please do not contact us as we will not be able to respond to individual queries.

Priority for housing is based on an assessment of your need. If you are in urgent need of housing because you are homeless or threatened with homelessness you must contact Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council Housing Options Team on 01639 685219.

Ground 17, Schedule 2 of the Housing Act 1988, enables Tai Tarian to seek possession of property where it has been granted as a result of a false statement by either the Tenant or a person acting at the Tenant's instigation.

Under Part VI, Section 171 of the Housing Act 1996, a person commits an offence if they:

  1. Knowingly or recklessly make a statement which is false, or
  2. Knowingly withhold information which Tai Tarian have reasonably required them to give in connection with the exercise of those functions.
A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine of up to £5,000.
