With the first phase of our County Flats development completed in 2025, thoughts are now turning to phase two – the refurbishment of the Carmarthen, Coronation and Cardigan blocks and the surrounding land.

Pending the planning process, the new phase will see us modernise and upgrade 50 of the existing flats, whilst 101 new homes will be created. The plans will also see the partial demolition of Carmarthen House to make way for the new homes. The development will consist of a mix of one- and two-bedrooms flats and include 82 parking spaces.

In keeping with our environmentally friendly ethos, the new homes will benefit from a range of green features, including solar panels and highly efficient heating and insulation systems.

The land around the site will also be landscaped trees, shrubs and a wildflower are, whilst a number of eco-friendly features will be included such as bat boxes.

A consultation exercise took place in early 2026. The responses to that consultation are currently being reviewed with a full application due to be submitted in the spring.
