Time to Thrive grants

Time to Thrive presentation being made to Baglan football club

Our community engagement team is responsible for administering our Time to Thrive community benefits scheme.

The scheme sees us partnering with our contractors to fund an array of community projects and make donations to local good causes.

In the past year, we've donated £90,000 worth of goods and services locally, from gifts to junior sports clubs to help them fund equipment, upgrading community facilities and delivering biodiversity projects with local volunteers.

In addition, the team also run the annual Community Challenge initiative, whereby a team of volunteer staff go into a local community facility such as a school or community hall to complete a day of free maintenance.

More details on the schemes we run can be found below.  Before applying, please review the categories below to determine where your project fits and the relevant grant amount limits. Terms and conditions will be shared with successful applicants.

Community Challenge

Our annual Community Challenge sees community groups across our area apply for a day of free building or maintenance work.

The challenge is a partnership programme between us and our main contractors, which allows different community projects to benefit from a makeover.

Schools, community centres, playgroups and other community facilities regularly apply to take part in this popular initiative.

Applications for the 2026 Community Challenge are now open.  Click here for more details.
