Our Time to Thrive community grants programme continues to support local groups across our communities.

One of the latest recipients is Mount Pleasant Bowls Club in Neath, which has served the local community since 1914.

Thanks to a Time to Thrive grant, the club has upgraded its toilet facilities, improving access for members, visiting teams and other groups that use the venue.

Andrew Harris, speaking on behalf of the club, said:
“The funding has helped us upgrade our toilets, benefiting both our members and the wider community. If you’re thinking of applying for a Time to Thrive grant, don’t miss out - get your application in.”

Time to Thrive has also supported Taibach Men’s Shed, a community-led group based at Taibach Education Centre with a £1,000 grant. The group has used the fund to expand and enhance its thriving garden, building on a space where members come together, share skills and grow fresh produce for the community.

Time to Thrive is funded by our contractors, who are committed to giving back to the communities in which they work. The programme supports projects that strengthen wellbeing, inclusion and opportunity across our neighbourhoods.

Grants of £500 to £10,000 are still available for community groups, including sports clubs, schools, arts organisations and wellbeing initiatives.
