Success at TPAS Cymru Good Practice Awards
Wednesday 24 June 2026
Tenants and colleagues attended the TPAS Cymru Good Practice Awards in Cardiff last week, enjoying a fantastic evening celebrating the very best in tenant participation and community involvement across Wales.
We were proud to be recognised across two award categories, highlighting our continued commitment to clear, accessible communication and meaningful tenant engagement.
Our nominations reflected the work we do to keep tenants informed through our quarterly publication, Cartref, as well as our work alongside tenants to co-create the Tai Tarian Repairs Promise.
With more than 100 nominations received, being shortlisted was a significant achievement. It was especially important to share the occasion with tenants who are part of our Tenant Voice groups and play a vital role in shaping our services.
On the night, we were delighted to win the award for Communicating with Tenants and Residents for Cartref. We also received Bronze in the category Involving Tenants in Designing or Reviewing Services for our Repairs Promise work.
Cartref features tenant stories alongside content from colleagues across the organisation, ensuring important information, support and community stories are accessible to everyone, including those who face digital barriers.
Accepting the award, Rachel from our communications team said:
" We are thrilled to win this award for Cartref. Our summer edition is currently on deadline, and we were squeezing in a final proofread just before we arrived at the awards. Yesterday, we were out in the community speaking to tenants about how their homes have made a huge difference to their lives, and that story will feature in the next issue. We will continue to work closely with our tenants to ensure every edition of Cartref is useful and meaningful for them.”
The Tai Tarian Repairs Promise has been developed in partnership with tenants, ensuring the service reflects their experiences and expectations, and helping to create a more responsive and trusted repairs service.
The evening also provided an opportunity to hear about inspiring work taking place across Wales, share ideas and learn from others across the sector.
We would like to thank the tenants who joined us at the awards, and all those who continue to play such an important role in helping us improve our services.
