Are you someone who likes to ask questions, challenge the way things are done, and help find better ways forward?
If you care about fairness, transparency, and making sure tenants have a say at the highest level, the scrutiny group could be for you.
What is the scrutiny group?
This group gets involved in the big picture stuff. It’s about reviewing how Tai Tarian works, making sure we’re doing things the right way, and holding us to account, from a tenant point of view.
You’ll help review and shape things like:
- Policies and procedures, are they clear, fair and working?
- Organisational performance, including tenant satisfaction results
- Equality impact assessments, making sure everyone is considered
- Major changes, like new legislation and key business projects
- Service standards, asking are we meeting the mark?
Why get involved?
Play a key role in influencing strategic decisions
- Help hold Tai Tarian to account in a constructive and positive way
- Make sure the tenant voice is heard throughout the organisation
- Build skills in analysis, communication, and decision-making
The commitment
A minimum of two meetings/sessions per year. These will be community based at a time that works for you.
What skills do I need?
- A passion for our communities and not being afraid to have your say.
- No prior experience of being involved is needed, as training will be given once you join.
