Want to make sure your rent money is being spent wisely? Curious about how decisions are made on costs and services?
If this sounds like you, then we want you in our value for money group.
What is the value for money group?
This group gives you the chance to shape how we manage money and set service standards. Making sure every penny is spent in a way that brings maximum benefit to our tenants and communities.
Together, we’ll explore things like:
- Annual rent increases and service charges, how they’re set and why
- Service improvements or changes, are we getting best value when we spend?
- Ideas to deliver better services in a more cost-effective way
Why get involved?
- Have a direct say in financial decisions that affect all tenants
- Help us deliver better services for better value
- Build confidence around money matters and decision-making
- Connect with other engaged tenants
How much time do I need to give?
Not much, and a lot less than most people expect. A minimum of two meetings per year. These will be community based at a time that works for you.
And because your time is valuable, you will also receive:
- A £20 shopping voucher for each session you attend
- Travel and childcare costs covered*
- Free training and development workshops delivered by partners like TPAS Cymru
- A thank‑you card as a small token of our appreciation
What skills do I need?
A passion for our communities and not being afraid to have your say.
- You don’t need any previous experience.
- You don’t need specialist knowledge.
- You don’t need to be confident or outgoing.
